Written Examination: Bihar Police Steno ASI
In the first phase written examination, there will be two question papers. Both papers will be based on multiple-choice questions. The first question paper will be based on 100 multiple choice questions of General Hindi of 100 marks.
It will be compulsory to get minimum qualifying 30 marks otherwise the candidate will be disqualified. The duration of the examination for General Hindi paper will be one and a half hours. General Hindi paper marks will not be added to the merit list.
Second question paper of General Knowledge of 200 marks and 100 multiple choices related to current affairs. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and negative marking 2 marks will be deducted for 10 wrong answers.
Skill Test: Bihar Police Steno ASI
After getting success in written examination there will be skill tests in Hindi/English typing and Hindi Steno dictation test of 80 words per minute for 5 minutes. And 20 minutes will be to translate steno dictation. There should not be more than 10 percent of the mistakes in the Hindi Steno test, otherwise, they will be disqualified.
In typing test candidates have to type 300 words in Hindi and English at a speed of 30 words per minute on a computer in 10 minutes. In order to pass it, there should not be more than five percent mistakes in English typing, otherwise, they will be disqualified.
Candidates typing less than 300 words in the prescribed 10 minutes time will be disqualified.
Computer Knowledge Test (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and practical knowledge of internet will be investigated. Candidates unsuccessful in this test will be disqualified.
Miret List: Bihar Police Steno ASI
Merit List of finally successful candidates will be prepared on a reservation basis based on the marks obtained in the written examination. In the case of two or more candidates getting the same marks in the written examination, their place in the merit list will be decided on the basis of their Date Of Birth, in the old age, the preferred candidate will be above the merit.
In the case of two or more candidates receiving equal marks and having the same Birth Date, their place in the merit list was determined on the basis of their educational qualification.
Reservation: Bihar Police Steno ASI
The reservation in the vacancies of Bihar posts and services (for scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, and other backward classes) Act 1991, Bihar Act-3, 1992 will apply for reservation and its benefit will be payable only to the permanent resident of the Bihar state.
Reservation category candidates of other states will be counted as candidates of the Unreserved (General) category. Accordingly, the age limit prescribed for the Unreserved category candidates. And other related qualifications will apply.
